This review is for the black 9U cabinet. The cabinet I received is better than what's described here and in the comments. It was packed with layers of foam inside three nested boxes. It arrived in perfect condition with no dents, scratches, scuffs, or any other defects. It's solidly made and is even sturdier than I expected. Although I don't ever expect to stand on it, I imagine that I could do that without causing any damage. The door opens and closes smoothly. It's perfectly aligned. The latch operates smoothly. It feels like something that belongs on a much more expensive product. My cabinet arrived with a built-in fan. The description says "fan not included", so don't expect that you'll get one just because I did. The fan is about as noisy as an operating microwave oven. It's louder than anything I'd want in an office or bedroom, so I'll probably substitute a slower, quieter fan.The cabinet was fully assembled, except for four rubber feet that can easily be attached by hand. It also included a variety of screws and bolts for hanging it from a wall made of brick or wood. The cabinet included brackets for two shelves. It also came with a bag containing about 30 captive nuts and screws, which is more than I ever expect to need. The front door can easily be removed if it isn't needed. Two keys were provided for the front door latch. The side panels are removable and also have locks. A total of four keys was provided for the side panels. The top, back, and bottom of the cabinet are not removable. The vertical side rails are attached with screws, so they can be removed if you want to customize the cabinet and use it for other purposes. Removing the rails expands the front opening to 12" wide, so you could accommodate larger items.I bought this product with my own money. I wasn't asked for this review, nor did anybody provide any incentive for me to write it. I absolutely would buy this again.I bought this cabinet on another review recommendation. The cabinet is solid built and good quality. Mine had two big problems. One half-shelf (the little brackets on the side) was completely rusted. I had to sand blast it and repaint it. The included fan was ridiculously loud. I replaced the fan with an AC Infinity AXIAL LS1238, Quiet Muffin Fan, 120V AC 120mm x 38mm Low Speed fan. (The fan I bought was still a bit louder than I wanted. If I would do it over again, I would get a variable speed fan.) So those two things reduced the stars - not for the required modifications. If you are looking to put Ubiquiti's Unifi 150W 8 port Switch in, it will not fit without serious modifications to the cabinet. The interior dimensions are too small for the switch. The width is too narrow to mount the switch even with moving the mounting panels to the outside of the rails. Even after making this modification, the inside cabinet was too narrow to slide the switch in. It had to go in at an angle and sit behind the mounting panel. If I could have had another 1/8th of an inch, it would have fit. Another user was able to make it fit, so this may be a quality control issue the manufacture of the cabinet. The other problem I found was that the cabinet was not deep enough for the switch. The power cord prevents the switch from going into the cabinet all the way. I had to buy a right angle power cord (CableCreation 3 Feet 18 AWG Universal Power Cord for NEMA 5-15P Angle Type to IEC320 C13 Angle Type Cable, 0.915M / Black). I also have both SFP ports in use which prevented the door from closing. To make this work, I ended up notching out the back mounting panels with a Dremel so the switch could slide further back into the cabinet (with the right angled power cord). I also notched the front mounting panels to move them to the outside of the rails. This almost gave me enough width but was still about an 1/8th of an inch too narrow, but it was enough to cant the switch at an angle and get it in behind the mounting panels. I also drilled holes in the front panels to mount the switch. With these modifications I was able to make this work. The door closes but just barely. The glass just touches the wiring.I also manufactured shelves from $5 worth of aluminum sheeting I bought at a local hardware store. I braced these on the half-shelfs with some flat bar steel I had.The cabinet will work for Unifi switches, but with a lot of modifications.I love these 10" racks but there are a few QC issues, hence 4 stars. This is the second one I purchased. The first one came with the correct rails, but this one came with the wrong ones, making it more than 10" wide. The manufacturer shipped the correct rails though once I notified them. The other issue is that there is no manual that comes with it, so you are guessing everything. There is some assembly required. Then mine came without fan, not a biggie, but surprising for this to be marketed "with fan" when actually there isn't any. Then come the cage nuts, they don't send enough of them, for example the 6U came with 20 cage nuts, we need 24 (6x4). Finally, the door is not completely leveled, seems the door hinge is not very sturdy. Finally, I custom-made all the 10" trays to fit Ubiquiti UniFi's equipment, so what would usually take a lot of space now fits on a small 14x12x14" rack, securely enclosed and well vented. I got the fan from AC Infinity. I just wished the manufacturer be more sensitive to small details to make this a 5 star product.Overall good build quality, though it seems the newer versions come with thinner rails which means 10" accessories don't fit out of the box. For reference, I purchased the 9u version (Novaspirit Tech on YouTube got the 6u version which seems to have the thicker rails). I went to Lowe's (can probably find the equivalent at your local hardware store) and purchased packs of nylon spacers (1/2 x .257 x 1/2) and longer screws to fit the spacers (M6-1.00 x 25), using M6 means they will work with the existing nuts that come with the rack. With spacers on both sides like in my picture I was able to get my shelves and other accessories mounted. Another note is the fan that comes with it is pretty loud and doesn't offer any speed control if you care about noise. Overall I'm satisfied, but I bought it knowing it would probably need modification. If you're looking for a "works as is" solution, this is probably not the one for you. This is one solid unit, but the availability of 10" gear and racks is a very sad state in Canada. Pretty much everything will need to be shelved, and if you shop around Europe you can find some reasonably priced ones (if you're spending over $10 per U you're spending too much). I would only recommend this if keeping your 10" gear behind lock and key is important. You could nearly fit a full 19" rack in the same volume (so long as you don't mind the sides being exposed).
